- "While upholding the ILO’s mandate is essential, sustainability often depends on the readiness of governments and social partners to act and invest in these initiatives. To address this, the Advancing Decent Work in Bangladesh project will implement the following strategies:
1. Targeted Intervention Areas: Focusing on areas with demonstrated political will, ensuring government and social partner commitment aligns with the project’s objectives to enhance impact and sustainability.
2. Collaborative Engagement: Engaging closely with government and stakeholders during the project design phase to identify areas where there is both demand and capacity for change, ensuring interventions are relevant to the priorities of government, employers, and workers.
3. Sustainability Focus: Incorporating clear pathways for sustainability in the project design, including exit strategies outlining how the government and stakeholders will continue to implement and scale interventions after the project concludes."

- title:
- Project interventions should focus on priority areas with strong political will and engagement. Simply funding projects and interventions that comply with the mandate of the ILO are only sometimes sustainable. Work should focus on areas where the government is willing to make changes, invest their funding and engage in a way that benefits employers and workers.
