In early 2024, TRIANGLE developed a training curriculum on Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion that is currently being rolled-out to all TRIANGLE partners and stakeholders in key priority countries. As of today, trainings have been conducted in Thailand (11-13 March), Myanmar (22-24 March), Lao PDR (13-15 August), Cambodia (20-22 August), and Viet Nam September 25-27.
TRIANGLE is an active member of the ILO Disability Champions Network, which together with the ILO GEDI Disability Team, provides our staff with updates to internal policies and learning.
TRIANGLE has formally partnered in 2024 with two OPDs in the region – one to run a MRC in Cambodia and one which has begun a regional Disability Migration Network (DMN). The DMN is growing its membership of OPDs in ASEAN countries and is conducting research and capacity building with OPDs and MRCs through until the end of the programme.
Additional budget for reasonable accommodations is being made available systematically for disability related work above, and the programme is asking meeting/event participants to notify in case of needed accommodations.

- Action needed: Complete the series of national Gender equality and disability inclusion trainings to TRIANGLE stakeholders and implementing partners (last training will take place next week (25-27 Sept in Viet Nam)).

- title:
- Continue to roll out disability equality training and build the capacity of partners on disability inclusion as well as identifying other areas in the operational side of the programme where disability inclusion can be improved such as procurement, recruitment, and the accessibility of publications.
Continued participation in the ILO Disability Champions network and close coordination with the GEDI Disability Team should be undertaken.
The programme should also consider identifying additional OPDs to participate in the programme.
A reasonable accommodation budget could be set up to support project partners who request it to support persons with disabilities attending events. A centrally managed fund would reduce the challenge a partner might face in balancing budget management against inclusion needs.
