comments:
Fully agree with this recommendation TRIANGLE management appreciates this recommendation and fully agree that this is a priority, particularly for Thailand and Myanmar, for the remining part of the current TRIANGLE phase.
action_plan:
Action needed: In response to these needs, in June 2024, TRIANGLE entered into a contract with ‘Foundation for Education and Development’ (FED) that, among others, run a community healing centre in Mae Sot for migrants displaced by conflict in Myanmar. FED offers psycho-social support through art and wellness classes and mental health counselling. FED will extend training and services to TRIANGLE implementing partners in Thailand. A suitable partner for Myanmar is still to be found. Security training is also noted as a priority, and TRIANGLE will seek opportunities for making this available to project partners.

title:
Provide security training and PSS support for front-line CSO and trade union workers. Safety and security were raised as concerns in Myanmar and Thailand, and examples were given of re-traumatisation of front-line staff through their experiences and the situations of migrant workers they support. Providing both security training and PSS support would help the implementation of the MRC activities in future.
