In Bangladesh, BWB is closely coordinating with National Coordination Committee for Workers' Education (NCCWE), through the platform of the Workers Resource Centre (WRC) -Bangladesh. Via an Implementation Agreement, in which BWB is involved as part of the broader Labour Administration and Working Conditions (LAWC) cluster, it is supporting these federations by providing TOT on 5 thematic areas including FOA and TU roles and responsibilities, Strengthening social dialogue, Establishing grievance management systems inside the factory, Collective Bargaining, and negotiation skills. Through these efforts, these platforms will be reaching to 20 BWB factories where they will be working to strengthen the capacity of enterprise-level Trade Unions, to promote future generations of leadership and support them in their path to stronger voice, representation and worker rights. In Cambodia, BFC continued to support unions in enhancing their role as equal social partners in the industry. Regular engagement with union leaders included quarterly meetings with the trade union contact group (TUCG), involving 22 participants (including five females). These meetings provided updates on BFC activities, discussed criteria for TUCG membership, and clarified the role of the TUCG Coordinator. Additionally, the TUCG refined its member list and appointed a new facilitator. Additionally, BFC organized a knowledge-sharing workshop with 21 trade unions (including 7 female representatives) to enhance their understanding of accessing and using BFC's data and reports. This workshop aimed to educate participants on the process, follow-up, and importance of BFC's data reports for negotiations to improve working conditions and promote freedom of association. BFC also focused on addressing gaps in technical knowledge among unions at the factory level, particularly on industry-relevant topics. The initiative reached more than two hundred participants (approximately 50% female), including union members, management, and worker representatives. The training sessions covered topics such as Roles and Responsibilities in Industrial Relations (IR) and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), Effective Grievance Mechanisms, Freedom of Association, Wages and Benefits Calculation, and Human Rights Due Diligence. In Vietnam, BWV has collaborated with VGCL to organise ToT courses for trade union officials/representatives at different levels. In addition, BWV also strengthens capacity of factory level trade unions through thematic courses on Industrial Relations. Trade Union representatives are expected to join all advisory meetings at the factory level and take turn with the management to facilitate the dialogue meetings. With these concerted effort and combined activities, BWV continues to promote the roles of trade unions and train for them to take greater ownership in their collaboration and interaction with the management.

7) Enhance in any follow-up intervention the engagement of Trade Unions including targeted capacity building. Also consider (further) secretarial and/or human resources support for NCCWE in Bangladesh as the coordinating body for 13 Federations and for the Trade Union Contact Group in Cambodia (up to 25 federations). Include joint activities for workers’ and employers’ organisations (not only separate activities). Repeat the Good Practices Report for Trade Unions (International, Japanese, European and others). Explore the role of Trade Unions in those BW factories where Employers’ Organisations (e.g., BGMEA in Bangladesh) are providing advisory and learning services.
