The recommendation can be implemented under the proposed SOLAR-Phase 2 if it is approved. As the proposed project plans to work in northern Lao PDR where there are more ethnic groups and languages, it will translate training and advocacy materials into other languages and conduct activities in the suitable languages of the place with the contents tailored to the local contexts. Further, as advised by EUD, the proposed project also plans to engage local media in capacity building activities.

Recommendation 4: Incorporate activities in other languages, including communication in local media, to improve outreach to ethnic minorities. Carry out advocacy and training activities in other local languages apart from Lao, to foster an increased uptake of activities by ethnic minorities and facilitate the understanding of contents. Include communication in local languages at local media level as part of the strategy.
