action_plan:
As the project has been completed, this lesson will be carried forward into ongoing and future programmes. In particular, the ILO Office for Türkiye is expanding its work on just transition, green jobs and sustainable enterprise development through policy support, research, capacity-building and social dialogue initiatives. These efforts include support to tripartite constituents in the development of Türkiye’s Just Transition Strategy, research and awareness-raising activities on just transition, and the integration of environmental sustainability considerations into employment and enterprise development programmes. The Office will continue to promote the use of common definitions and practical guidance on green jobs and green economy approaches across its programming, while supporting constituents and stakeholders to better understand and apply these concepts in ways that are consistent with the ILO’s normative framework and the principles of a just transition.

title:
Establish clear and concrete definitions of green economy and green jobs. It is essential to establish clear and concrete definitions of the green economy and green jobs and to consistently communicate these across all project documents, interviews, and contracts with implementing partners. This approach will ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with the project's environmental objectives and can work toward common goals with a shared understanding. Providing tangible examples will enhance clarity and enable practical application. While the project has made significant progress in promoting green jobs within cooperatives and some SMEs, there is a need for a more consistent and comprehensive understanding of green economy practices across all sectors. Standardizing these definitions and providing some examples will not only clarify the concept of green jobs but also ensure that future initiatives remain aligned with the project’s overall objectives. Furthermore, it is evident from project documents, progress reports, and interviews that there is a recognized need to broaden the scope of environmental dimensions in business opportunities. This will allow the project to further strengthen its impact by integrating more sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices across a wider range of economic activities.
