comments:
As per the 2024-2025 ILO P&B (Enabler A – outputs A.1 and A.2) and the proposed 2026-27 ILO P&B (outcome A – outputs A.1 and A.2 and outcome 8), the work on labour market data and digitalization is a strategic element of the ILO’s work, linked directly to the realization of the organization’s mandate. As such, this work will continue, and future interventions will build upon what ADWA’ has accomplished in the three countries.
action_plan:
• Egypt: Taking stock of the technical work performed by ADWA in Egypt to support CAPMAS improving the quality and extending the scope on key national surveys, the ILO Office has elaborated a follow up workplan around 4 workstreams (Labour Force survey, Establishment Survey, Statistics on Voluntary Work, Statistics on Labour migration) to pursue the technical support and accompany CAPMAS to align their instruments to the latest international standards • Tunisia: INS in Tunisia remains a key and ongoing partner for the ILO. A statistical profile, building on the results of ADWA is currently taking place to improve data collection and analysis on the youth ‘NEET’ concept and understand its underlying characteristics on an ongoing basis. • Morocco: Collaboration with HCP in Morocco is also being pursued through other projects on different key policy areas: the green job assessment model bringing lessons learnt from ADWA Egypt, and the use of the green jobs terminology through a Green jobs diagnosis that is currently being finalized as part of another ILO project (Pro Agro Morocco). Additional collaborations will be discussed to use the results of the different tools and studies produced by ADWA: namely the LMIS study, the Compte Satellite Emploi and the gender studies produced in collaboration with the UNWOMEN-ILO joint project on decent work for women.

Recommendation 6: Ongoing Collaboration for Improved Labour Market Data and Digitalization The ILO should continue its collaboration with national institutions, such as CAPMAS) in Egypt, the HCP in Morocco and MOL in Tunisia, to enhance labour market data systems. This includes supporting the integration of green employment components, implementing digital platforms like ILO.Stat, and improving the quality and accessibility of labour market data.
