- NOB staff has not been recruited so far, as the country selection has not been terminated. It will be finally decided on the country to work with at the end of the inception phase. Based on the final decision and based on the limited budget of the project, NOBs will be recruited to better serve the respective country offices.
- action_plan:
- A CTA at P 4 level has been recruited, he is based in the field, Cairo. A technical specialist P3 on trade issues has been recruited in Beirut. 3 NOB position in country offices have not been filled so far, as the project METI 2 is still in the inception phase.

On programme coordination and staffing:
✓ Introduce the position of a Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) to ensure stronger management for results given the responsibility to manage
programme staff and the budget.
✓ Introduce the positions of national project officers in Tunisia and Morocco to ensure better communication and coordination with national stakeholders, including the participants of the Policy Working Groups, EU delegations and the stakeholders engaged in the delivery of the UNSDCF.
✓ A Technical Officer with knowledge and expertise in trade, investment and employment would be needed in RO Beirut to support the interventions in Jordan, Lebanon and Occupied Palestinian Territory.
