comments:
As recommended the ILO engaged external communications expertise through a consultancy contract with a communications agency in the second half of 2023 to review the ILO’s communications related to the project and more widely in the area of statistical standards and methods. A first deliverable was a communications strategy which led to the complete overhaul of the ILO website content on standards and methods including new accessible communications products (infographics, scrollytelling, videos, web pages, blogs). The range and substance of content now presented is completely different to prior content. Among other things a new landing page on standards and methods has been launched as a single entry point for all content – while content was previously dispersed across the ILOSTAT website (see: https://ilostat.ilo.org/methods/). Samples of new accessible content include: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hr_YjdJezs&t=1s , https://ilostat.ilo.org/topics/unpaid-work/measuring-unpaid-domestic-and-care-work/ , https://ilostat.ilo.org/methods/concepts-and-definitions/visualization-tool-on-the-impact-of-latest-statistical-standards/ and many others.
