- Provide continued support through training to the project’s trainees. A collaborative consultation should be undertaken to understand key needs and reach a consensus on the priorities.
Most trainees who spoke to the evaluation believe they need more training to provide effective support to their trade unions. This included refresher and follow-up training, as well as additional topics. Additional topics suggested included just transition, grievance mechanisms, OSH, English language, advanced IT, labour law, machinery automation, and collective bargaining. More advanced training than the training offered in this project was suggested as well.
