Efforts are underway to enrol a tripartite+(inc. National Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance, et al) delegation from Namibia 2026 ITCILO Employment Academy, "Technology, Productivity and Structural Transformation for Social Justice.

This has been integrated into the workplan of the on-going Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection United Nations Joint Programmes including building institutional capacities across Government Offices, Ministries, and Agencies (OMAS) on employment policy and employment impact assessments (EmpIA).

Recommendation #5: Provide technical assistance to the MJLR to address key institutional weaknesses that affect the sustainability and ownership of employment policies The ILO should strengthen the MJLR’s capacity to implement employment policy, by promoting social dialogue and providing technical assistance on planning and budgeting of policy implementation. Likewise, the ILO should support MJLR’s efforts to mainstream employment issues into other key ministries’ (Agriculture, Mining, Trade, Industry) agenda. Promoting employment should become a cross-cutting issue for multiple government agencies.
