- Recommendation 4: Strengthen the communication campaigns in pilot countries to disseminate knowledge of decent work and labour rights in the construction sector
The ILO, the National Governments, and social partners should strengthen communication campaigns in pilot countries to disseminate knowledge of Decent Work and Labour Rights in the construction sector to workers at the grassroots level through diverse channels, including roadshows, TV, radio, and social media. Trade unions, the Ministry of Labour, the Employers’ Organizations, and the Business Development Services are to be included. The ILO should develop a stronger project communication campaign through a dedicated project website. Project success stories should be timely shared with the donor, ILO, and SADC countries.
