Across countries, unclear payout calculations undermined trust and created community tensions. To build lasting confidence, governments, insurers, and regulators should ensure transparency by clearly communicating the process for determining claims, providing individualized statements to beneficiaries, and establishing effective grievance mechanisms. Participatory validation through cooperatives or community representatives can further enhance fairness and accountability.
