- Collection centres have demonstrated strong potential as localized operational anchors within the value chain model. The project acknowledges that strengthening their formal recognition can improve ownership, credibility, and sustainability among producers and private sector partners. However, it is also important to note that these collection units do stem from the private sector organisations who are also recognized as the project VC partners/companies, it does play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation receives the quality of produce they ought to buy. Given this concern it would be ideal for the collection units to be operated under the respective VC partner companies as a regional unit under the parent company. However, more regulation and monitoring to ensure the longevity and more standardization of collection centres could be something for future projects - including GROW will take into consideration.
Future interventions, including GROW, will consider strengthening the regulation, monitoring, and standardization of collection centres while maintaining their operation under the respective value chain partner companies as regional units of the parent company, rather than primary business units of value chains, this will support stronger sustainability, quality assurance, producer trust, and long-term continuity within the value chain model.

- Recommendation 3 (Medium Priority): Formalise Collection Centres as the Primary Business Units of Value Chains
Collection centres, which are the primary contact points at local level representing the company, should be formally recognised and operationalised as primary business units, strengthening their credibility and reinforcing their stake in the value chains as a legitimate entity in the economic model. Such an elevation would develop stronger attraction among the VC producers to continue to stay in business.
