Facilitation
ILO officials - facilitators - trained in early conflict resolution are available to help persons with a work-related problem to explore options for informal resolution of the problem. Facilitation is available to any person with a contractual relationship to the ILO.
Confidentiality is guaranteed throughout the facilitation process. Facilitators do not serve in cases where they have a personal interest.
Informal conflict resolution services/Facilitation
Facilitation can help a staff member who wants:
- to improve relationships at work
- to talk about or resolve any work-related problem.
Facilitators listen and help by:
- providing information on the facilitation process and other procedures,
- exploring options and alternatives,
- preparing for dialogue.
Read what staff helped by a facilitator say about their experiences. |

"I found my meetings with the facilitators (I had two) extremely helpful and productive. Not having been through such a process before, I was struck by the focus on negotiating skills and strategies. These are issues to which I (and I would guess many others) have given relatively little thought in the past, and the things I learned will, I am sure, be very helpful to me in future negotiations as well."
